#SeeMeAsIAm
My Role
Senior Designer, contributing to concept development, visual storytelling, and social-first creative direction in collaboration with the Chief Creative Officer and account lead.
Context
This project was developed as part of The One Club for Creativity mentorship program, under the guidance of Swati Bhattacharya, during an intensive, values-driven creative leadership initiative focused on cultural impact and responsible storytelling.
Gender stereotypes, particularly toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex individuals, continue to fuel stigma and discrimination. These pressures are often most acute during childhood and adolescence, when self-understanding is still forming and societal expectations around gender conformity are deeply ingrained.
The project sought to create a moment of recognition, empathy, and visibility, especially for young people who rarely see themselves reflected with care and dignity.
Creative Approach
The campaign centered on a short film portraying a quiet, intimate moment: a young boy smiling at his reflection while wearing a woman’s scarf. The simplicity of the scene was intentional, allowing the emotional weight of self-recognition to take precedence over explanation or instruction.
Designed for social platforms, the work relied on restraint, authenticity, and emotional clarity, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and reconsider assumptions around identity and expression.
